Ilativity Studio

Your work catches the eye. It deserves a site on the same level.

Websites for artists, galleries and makers —
in Hebrew, Russian and English.

You’ve built a career on your eye. Your website is the one place it doesn’t show.

A website isn’t just another image in the portfolio

Most websites for artists are built on a ready-made template, and the result is familiar: the images come out compressed and lose their colour, the gallery is slow to open on a phone, the languages fight each other, and the next update is already something you cannot make on your own. A good website should disappear behind the work — not compete with it.

I don’t start with a template.

I start with a simple question: what should someone see, understand and feel when they first open the site? The structure, images, typography and rhythm follow from that. The code comes later.

01 About me

Good to meet you, I’m Vitaly Gurvich

I build websites for people whose work is visual — artists, galleries, studios, wineries and makers.

18 years in development. In recent years, mostly websites where the image is the product.

On a recent project I was handed a folder with hundreds of photographs. Most of the real work was not in the code, but in choosing, ordering and deciding what actually belonged on the site. That is exactly the part most web builders hand back to you. With me, it is part of the service.

And if it has to work in Hebrew, Russian and English — that is not an add-on glued on at the end. It is built that way from the start.

03 How it works

So how does this work?

Most projects go live in 3–4 weeks.

  1. A conversation

We start with a conversation about your work, who the audience is and what the site has to achieve — sell pieces, fill workshops, or simply look right when someone looks you up.

  2. Order in the material

This is the part you don’t have to prepare on your own. We go through the images, texts and documents together, decide what really belongs on the site and build a clear structure from it. No copy yet? I’ll write it. Missing photographs? We’ll find that out now, not at the end.

  3. Design

I design the site around your work. Colour, type and rhythm that suit what you make — and that do not look like one more website.

  4. Build, launch and handover

I build it, fit it to the phone, connect the domain and the mailing, and hand over a working site — together with a short walkthrough so you can update the content yourself.
